local law enforcement officers
If you’re salary paid, does that means you’re paid per month. In your state, are local law enforcement officers are paid weekly, bi weekly, or monthly that includes the state troopers
Like the other person said, it varies from Department to Department. Both Agencies I worked for paid every 2 weeks. But the CHP pays their employees once a month.
And the term “salary” is a little misleading as most Agencies, until you reach a fairly high rank, you are paid on an hourly basis.
a question about law enforcement
I have a question about law enforcement. Now this goes to both police officers and state troopers,\. My question is, what is the starting annual salary of a police officer/state trooper. Please tell me the things that you had to go through to become a police officer/trooper. Do you regret getting into either one? 1 last question, because of my religion, and heritageI’m half asian and black, I cannot cut my hair, I am able to have it braided as in corn rolls, nice and neat even though I’m not “permitted” to, will that be a problem. Please only police officers or state troopers answer. Thanks. Read the rest of this entry »

am majoring in Law Enforcement right now. An I was going to go for working as a State Police Officer. But my Uncle told me that being a State Police Officer is a lonely job. Usually no partner. Backup is far away. So my question is two. If you do work with Law Enforcement, what do you do? An does anyone know a site to get information on jobs that focus on Law Enforcement? Thanks for the help.Almost all officers work solo in thier cars, and depending on where you work, seldom do you get and use alot of back up. Read the rest of this entry »
Law Enforcement?
I just read an article about San Diego Padres pitcher Peavy who was arrested in Alabama for double parking. The story says Peavy was told by a policeman to move his car and he replied: “write me a ticket and I’ll pay it” and he was subsecuently arrested. Although this is a silly example it reminded me of how law enforcement officials abuse their power. It’s my opionion that this abuse is due to the lack of knowledge of the laws they enforce. That is to say: the philosophy of law, why we have laws, an appreciation of the law, and most importantly: legal experience. Read the rest of this entry »
